Freedom is a funny thing. Like all other precious but intangible things (love, friendship and time) we usually don't realise how much freedom means to us until it is gone. And sadly, most of us don't even realise it is gone. We're slaves, one and all, to our jobs, our loved (and not-so-loved) ones, our kids, our parents; so many things that tie cords of silken steel around us. Some bonds I like, and willingly submit to. Others, well, we'll see shall we?

I've got a mind of my own. That's why lots of people (my parents included) can't stand me. I'm short and stout (goes that nursery rhyme about a teapot) and most of the time I think I know what I want in life. Oh yeah, I smoke and drink too.
